After a leisurely breakfast, don your walking shoes, a wide-brimmed hat and your travel pouch - and get ready to explore this unique city. We will now go on a Guided Sightseeing Tour of Delhi, a tour that will take you through the attractions of both Old & New Delhi, including ancient landmarks such as Red Fort, Jamma Masjid, Qutub Minar, and Humayun Tomb. We will also visit newer attractions such as the India Gate, Rashtrapathi Bhawan, the Garden of Five Senses and the Akshardham Temple.

After an early breakfast, check out from the hotel in Delhi and proceed on the drive to Rishikesh, the first of your stops on your Roots of India holiday tour.
Once a remote place, Rishikish was where rishis and munis did their tapasyas to please God and many devas including Lord Rama and Lord Agni did their penance for their respective sins. Now, it is a place, which is well-connected by road and draws many tourists as well as spiritual seekers to its Yoga centers, Ashrams and Ayurveda centers.

After an early breakfast at the hotel, set out to experience Rishikesh at its best. We will walk down the Ganges Riverfront and visit Ashrams such as the Shivananda Ashram. Like Rishikesh, Haridwar is also a holy place located along the banks of the River Ganges. Many people visit Haridwar for taking a dip in the holy waters of the River Ganges and believe themselves to be absolved of all sins.
We will visit the most popular ghat of Haridwar - Har ki Paudi, which is named such on the basis of the footprint of Lord Vishnu, the Hindu God of preservation, imprinted on stone. Check out from the hotel and proceed to the airport in time for your flight to Varanasi, a city renowned as one of the Oldest Living Cities of the world.
Varanasi is also known as Kashi and Benaras and is famous as much for its textiles as for its importance as a site for pilgrimage. Our representative will meet you at the airport and escort you to the pre-booked hotel for check-in.
Relax and enjoy the surroundings, explore the immediate neighbourhood, and at dusk, set out to visit the ghats for a mesmerizing experience of the Ganga Aarti - a ritual, wherein multiple priests line up with multi-tiered aarti lamps and perform their prayers, while the rest of the devotees place tiny earthen lamps on fragile leaves and set them afloat down the river.

Day 7 of this Roots of India holiday tour begins very early in the morning, way before the sun rises. Proceed to the embarkation point of the famous Varanasi Boat Ride experience. Enjoy the scenic ride and watch the ghats come alive with action as the sun bathes the city with its golden rays. Visit the ghats and the temples lining the riverfront.
Return to hotel for breakfast and refreshments. Later, we will set out on the Excursion to Sarnath, the place where Buddha delivered his first sermon. Visit the stupas and museums of Sarnath before returning to Varanasi.Overnight in Varanasi
On Day 8 of this holiday tour, an Excursion to Allahabad has been scheduled. We will set out on the excursion after breakfast.
Allahabad, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, is also the place where the three rivers - Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswathi merge. While the Ganga and Yamuna rivers are visible, the Saraswathi River is not.
On arrival at Allahabad, enjoy a sightseeing tour and visit landmarks such as the Triveni Sangam, Anand Bhawan (Ancestral Home of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru - First Prime Minister of India), Hanuman Temple, Swaraj Bhawan (birthplace of Indira Gandhi ji), and the Khusro Bagh. After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to the airport, in time for your scheduled flight to Khajuraho.

Post lunch, we will proceed on a visit to the famous Khajuraho Temples Complex for a guided tour. Day 10 of this Roots of India holiday tour begins with an early breakfast and checkout from the hotel in Khajuraho. We will now proceed to Jhansi; en-route, we will visit the Orchha complex, which has the only temple devoted to Lord Rama, in which he is worshiped as a King in a palace.

After breakfast, embark on a Guided Sightseeing Tour of Agra; we will visit the stunning marble monument - Taj Mahal as well as the Agra Fort.

On Day 12 of this India holiday tour, we will check out from the hotel in Agra after breakfast and hit the road once again. Our destination for today is Jaipur. En-route, we will visit Fatehpur Sikri.
Enjoy a Guided Sightseeing Tour of Fatehpur Sikri, a ghost town that was once a flourishing capital of Emperor Akbar but was later abandoned due to scarcity of water. After an early breakfast, set out to visit the major attractions of Jaipur. Our Guided Sightseeing Tour of Jaipur will begin with an Excursion to Amer Fort, a majestic fort on the outskirts of Jaipur City.
Sprawled across multiple acres of land, on a higher elevation than Jaipur City, the Amer Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized for its collection of marvelous red sandstone and marble palaces and halls. Explore the fort before continuing on your tour to visit the other two forts in the vicinity - the Jaigarh Fort and the Nahargarh Fort.
Return to Jaipur City for lunch and the remainder of the sightseeing tour. We will visit the City Palace, Jantar Mantar and the Albert Hall Museum, before returning to the hotel.
